Different alumina producers have slightly different physical properties and chemical compositions, and they have great differences in the impact on electrolytic aluminum production. The main influences are increased jamming, increased effect coefficients, sticky electrolytes, difficult separation of carbon slag, and carbon. Large amounts of slag and long anode packages frequently occur. The direct influence of various impurity levels on the cost of electrolytic aluminum is even more of a concern. Wang Shaopeng believes that a 0.1% increase in the sodium oxide content will increase the consumption of 5.3 kilograms of aluminum aluminum fluoride per ton and increase production costs by about 32 yuan.
